Karachi: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has decided not to include the series with India in the new Future Tour program for the first time.

Millions of spectators will not be able to see Pak-India players in action in future Test matches. They will compete in the ICC World Cup, T20 World Cup and Asia Cup. In the next three years, India will host the first T20 World Cup and then the ODI World Cup. India has given a written assurance to the ICC to issue visas to Pakistani players and media for the tournament.

The PCB has decided to take India out of its future tour plan and give the window to other teams so that Pakistan suffers the least. India is also not included in the media rights. In the new four-year FTP, Pakistan will play a series of at least three Tests under the direction of Chairman Ehsan Mani. The two-Test series is being discouraged.

There has been no bilateral series between traditional rivals Pakistan and India since 2007. In 2013, Pakistan went to India to play short series of ODI and T20 series but India did not play any match in Pakistan after 2007 Asia Cup. The last series between the two countries was held in Pakistan in 2006. Pakistan Cricket Board has repeatedly advised India to keep politics out of the game but the Indian board is not ready to play a series with Pakistan on the instructions of the BJP government.
