ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Railways has chosen to restore Karachi Circular Railway (KCR).
As per media reports, Pakistan Railways is restoring KCR in stages from November 16. At first, KCR will be run from Landhi to Orangi.
Roundabout railroad hours will be from 7 to 10 in the first part of the day and from 1 to 4 in the early evening, 4 trains will leave every day from Pipri and 4 from Orangi. The fare for a complete journey of 60 km will be Rs. 50.
The Railway Deficit Self Notice case was heard in the Supreme Court of Pakistan today. The court has given disdain notification to Pakistan Railways and Sindh government on Karachi Circular Railway (KCR).
The court inquired as to why the court request was not executed. Departmental correspondence was sent however the request for the Supreme Court was not executed.
The court commented that the Secretary Railways and the Chief Secretary had submitted disdain of court. The court coordinated the Secretary Railways and Chief Secretary Sindh to show up face to face.
