Islamabad (Newsplus: 9th July,2020) Education Minister Shafqat Mahmood declared on Thursday that educational institutes throughout the country will be reopened after a closely five-month break on September 15 presented that the “health indicators improve”.
During a press conference, the education minister Shafqat Mahmood, said, “further conferences will be hold on the situation. The organization will review the conclusion in August according to the corona virus cases in the country. Schools and universities will not be open if the corona cases are not restricted.
The education minister Shafqat Mahmood said that the schools could not be opened in July as Eid-u-Azha will be celebrated by the bottom of the month and in August the country will commemorate Ashura.
Shafqat Mahmood furthermore said that Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) will be placed before the opening of educational institutes and authorities thinking over several options. The government is watching over several options including preparing schedules for classes and different criteria on different days including that there were also recommendations of holding classes in open air.
Before September 15 the government has decided to allow schools and universities to reopen and educational institutes will be allowed to call in their staff. The administrative operations can be recommenced, the education minister Shafqat Mahmood said.
Educational institutions will have to have to clean up the places moreover the coaching staff about the SOPs positioned by the authorities, the minister added.
He alerted that any school or educational institutions that has found irresponsible of breaking SOPs will be closed down by authorities.
The government has allowed the educational institutes to reschedule exams in July before Eid-ul-Azha that have been delayed in March, education minister Shafqat Mahmood spoked.
Pakistan Television (PTV) aired a TV channel named Teleschool in April across the country from 8am to 6pm for online education from class 1 to 12.
