Messenger app Telegram has introduced another feature for its users. Users will now be able to transfer their chat history from the WhatsApp to Telegram Messenger.

According to a foreign news agency, due to WhatsApp’s new controversial privacy policy, a large number of people are rapidly moving to Telegram.

Previously, the chat history transfer option was only for iOS users, but now this feature will also be available for Android users. Telegram has introduced “New Message History Import Tool” on its iOS app yesterday. Which is with version 7.4 of the app.

Here’s how to switch from WhatsApp to Telegram.

To transfer a chat from the WhatsApp, open the relevant chat and then tap Chat. Now go to Contact Info menu and select “Export Chat” option.

Now select Telegram Chat to import messages. After selecting this option, you will see the Option Media and Outout Media options. Now select the option you want.

Select Telegram from the Sharing menu and select the contact to whom you want to transfer the imported chat. You will now see the Import option for chat transfer, so select “Import”.

Within a week of the new WhatsApp security update, the number of Telegram users exceeded 500 million.
